Anna Healing Plain and Simple Miracles Vannetta Chapman 9780736956031 Books

Anna's Healing Is a touching and very emotional book for me - my throat got stuck. This book is so real Ms. Chapman has done it again. She sure knows how to get you emotionally tied to the characters - and I love it. The main character could be anyone you know. That is what makes it so real. She tries to do things on her own after Something serious happens to her - what is it? Well that is it something you have to find out for yourselves - GOD placed certain people in her life to see her through it and you will love them. Through it all she learns to trust in GOTTE - GOD - will the miracle happen? Well that is something you have to find out for yourself as well. I received a copy from the Publisher; all of the opinions expressed in this review are all my own.

Anna Healing Plain and Simple Miracles Vannetta Chapman 9780736956031 Books Reviews

It took me awhile to get into this book, then I could not put it down. The author has several twists in this book to compile a wonderful book. I like the "shorter" chapters so you can take a break as you need. I bought this book because I love following the Amish in different parts of the United States. The name of the book is perfect!!
This story is about Anna who is in an accident and ends up in a wheelchair. She has difficult time dealing with it. The story drew me in from the first page. it was an interesting story. This one is a good book about the difficulties that amish face and how they deal with it.
Ms. Chapman has carried the reader into the very center of a Amish family. Although a devoted Amish woman with no inclinations to leave the faith, Anna has doubts about marriage and the life she is expected to live. An accident that leaves the young woman crippled changes the lives of everyone in the family. Faith, love, and family/community support help. But there are always those who are suspicious, and mean spirited. I enjoyed Anna's Healing and recommend it to anyone, of any faith, wanting an inspiring and thought provoking novel.
Wow! What more can be said. I suspect when Jesus healed in all the instances of the New Testament or when the prophet in the Old Testament brought the mother’s child out to her alive, the family responded much the same way. Wow! Though fiction in this case, we are reminded that God is an awesome, sovereign God who desires to help man experience His unlimited love.
Dramatic and emotional, Anna’s Healing is a story that lingered in my mind long after the last page had been turned. I loved this beautiful story of faith and family!

Introduced to Cody’s Creek in the e-short Brian’s Choice, I was eager to revisit this Amish community. I loved getting to know Anna and her friends and especially enjoyed the relationship she shared with her grandmother Ruth. Anna’s thoughts and emotions are palpable throughout the story, and her journey is one that will touch your heart. I can’t wait to read more of the Plain and Simple Miracles series!

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review. All thoughts expressed are my own.
I don't think it's any coincidence that I should decide to get into this book more fully today. I started it in November and between the holidays and work hardly had time to bend the spine. But today being the first day of a new month and the New Year, I decided to do something I love and I opened the book again. I should know, having read many of Vannetta's books that I would be sucked into a different world and not emerge until done. But with this book on this day, it has been a very good way to spend the time.
I won't spoil the book for you with details. It is what it says....a novel about a healing. The title is "Anna's Healing" but there are many more people in this story who are healed in one form or another. I would like to quote the very last sentence in the book, and it will give nothing of this beautiful story away. "Perhaps that is the definition of a holy encounter-you come away forever changed."
Today, this book was my holy encounter.
Another Chapman story that does not disappoint! A story of faith, healing and love. Anna went to live with her aunt, uncle and grandmother in Oklahoma. She helped them on the family farm. Working in the produce stand and corn maze was fun. Jacob traveled all over and ended up in their community and helping on the farm. A tornado touched down and Anna was badly injured. Giving up on a full recovery and life was her thought. She didn't want to be a burden on anyone. Prayer. The power of prayer. Her dear grandmother prayed and prayed for Anna. Why did this happen to her? A most powerful ending that could never be expected. Loved this book!
