The characters don’t fall head over heals at first sight but they fall deeply in love. Although it is definitely cheesy and slightly predictable it is the kind of cheesy that makes smile with joy. It makes you remember first love and if it u haven’t experienced love yet it makes dream about things to come. Is it the best book I have read this year. No. But is it everything I could have wished for a and more yes. Please read

Obsessed with it!!! I want a trilogy. I read the sequel or semi sequel called “The Beach House” by Beth Reekles and I would love to see it in a movie version also. We need more happily ever afters and Noah and Elle have so much chemistry and love that they deserve their happily ever after.
I really enjoyed the movie. It really made me reflect back to when l was in high school. The kiss in the kissing booth and green house was sooo sexy. The movie was far better in portraying the best friend relationship and made it very believable. Together with the best friends rules. In most cases the book is soo much better than the movie, but in this particular case it was disappointing. Especially because the book usually give you so much more insight to the characters and their thoughts, which didn’t really happen. Granted the writer was very young. For her age it was pretty good, even l have to admit. It however didn’t match up to the movie sadly.
There is a lot of inconsistent thought with the characters, "I love him, I hate him." They were insecure and unsure of each other and very concerned with what others thought. That is exactly the crux of the teenage life cycle. Thank God it only lasts 6 years. Overall liked the characters and she did a good job of capturing the whirlwind of teenage first love.
If you are in the mood for a romantic read that is PG-13 then you will devour this book in one sitting. The writing is more 3-4 stars, but the characters and story are why I give this book a five star rating. I will be reading this book again!
I love the chemistry between Noah and Elle. Good story line....it's romantic and realistic at the same time. Can't wait for a sequel.....
I've read so many comments both good and bad. I decided to read it fir myself. This was a good book. It wasn't the best I've ever read, but definitely good. The yelling between characters seemed a little forced at times, but I've felt that way before so I get it. Good book.
I decided to read this after watching the Netflix movie. The concept is there but there were obviously a TON of rewrites by professionals. This was at times almost painful to read it was so badly written and it went on for way too long. Save yourself time, money, and frustration... Just watch the movie, it's way better.
